The first (sticking) snow of the season! It was lovely, but bad drivers in this weather are scary. And grown-ups don't get snowdays like school kids do :(
This is Matti, the firstborn of my favorite couple, Jason & Frances. He is smart and adorable and likes me! That's amazing, because I'm usually too scared of babies to interact with them at all. Oh, and we have the same birthday!
I like this picture a lot. This is where Sarah and I spend a lot of our time hanging out -- Starbucks (where I normally get the apple cider equivalent).

Meredith and the beer she loves. Oh, Sapporo!
The American Visionary Art Museum of Baltimore! It's so shiny.
Part of my cheating meant that some days had multiple pictures to make up for the days when I didn't have any :X
Rissa & I pausing for a picture outside the AVAM in Baltimore's Inner Harbor.
Originally, I was supposed to be a chaperone for Mount 2009, a yearly retreat held at Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, MD. Because of complications, that's not happening this year, but here are all the forms of the retreatants before I passed them on to Tess for submitting.
(Because I started a little late, I had to make up for missing days by taking extras on other days.) I've always had really healthy hair. Even when I was dyeing it pretty much consistently, and straightening it, and blow-drying it, it's never given me any kind of problems. I'd just gotten a haircut and wanted to show off how shiny it was. :)
My other favorite part of our FL vacation? Disney World. The last day we were there (with our three-day park-hopper passes), we got to see the Disney Dreams Come True parade. I'd claimed a spot on the train station platform a bit before it started and we had an awesome view of everything. I'm still not entirely sure who is my favorite Disney princess, but even if Ariel isn't #1, she's at least top 5! Here she is with Prince Eric.
Over Christmas break, we visited the ICE display at Gaylord Palms in Orlando, Florida. It was amazing -- thousand of pounds of ice chipped at and colored to make all sorts of things. This was my favorite room: an ice candy cottage with oversized lollipops! I'm pretending to hold one and it's pretty convincing, right? Kudos to Katie and her magic perspective photography.
Life is about learning experiences, and exposing yourself to as many different things as you can, and about growing as a person and helping other people grow. That long, run-on sentence is what I want to think about my life when I'm on my deathbed. I want to be able to say to myself, "I did as much as I was able to and I learned all that I could about the world around me."
